Senior Lead Pharmacy Benefits Actuarial Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MercerRx Pharmacy Practice at Mercer. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in one of our U.S. based Mercer office locations. Responsibilities Manage pharmacy projects and junior staff in program reviews, financial assessments, implementations, plan design analyses, and financial projections. Establish effective relationships with carriers and vendors to enhance client benefits procurement and administration. Leverage Mercer's size and reputation to negotiate competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors. Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies while effectively communicating industry financial trends to clients and Mercer H&B consultants. Qualifications BA/BS degree required; master’s degree highly valued. 10+ years of experience in financial analysis consulting. Superior analytical and mathematical skills, along with excellent organizational and project management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Pharmacy Financial Actuarial Consulting is preferred. PBM experience is a plus. Actuarial expertise is a plus. Underwriting experience is advantageous. Additional compensation may include performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package with health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings, and employee assistance programs.
