Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Salary: $45,000 per year

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and at least three years of relevant experience. This role supports daily financial operations and ensures accuracy in financial records. The position is well-suited for someone with hands-on accounting experience who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and consistency in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Reconcile bank statements and financial records

• Prepare and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets

• Handle invoices, expense reports, and payments

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records

• Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding financial matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online preferred)

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

• Strong communication and time management skills
