As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced pediatric dentists and anesthesia providers in both our office and hospital operating room settings, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

• Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of dental procedures performed under nitrous oxide sedation and general anesthesia in our office.
• Prepare treatment rooms and surgical equipment before procedures.
• Assist with dental procedures performed at UPMC and Penn State operating rooms.
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Take and process dental radiographs ( Dental Radiology Certification required ).
• Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Help create a calm, welcoming experience for children and their families.
• Work collaboratively with dentists, anesthesia providers, and fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Dental Radiology Certification is required, but will train to be certified.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.
• Passion for working with children and providing outstanding patient care.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday (36 hours per week)
• Occasional Fridays are designated as hospital surgery days and are shared on a rotating schedule amongst dental assistants.
