Employment Type: Part-Time

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Book Specialist to support the Books and Media department within its retail stores and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for sorting, pricing, organizing, and maintaining books and media inventory while ensuring the department remains well-stocked, clean, and customer-friendly. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of books and media and can work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort books and media according to established criteria and department guidelines.
• Price books and media products appropriately to support sales and inventory goals.
• Perform regular inventory pulls to keep merchandise fresh and maintain product rotation.
• Work with other departments and team members to ensure an adequate supply of books and media inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Books and Media department.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and team members.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail experience preferred, particularly experience working with books.
• In-depth knowledge of book and media categories.
• Knowledge of best-selling authors.
• Ability to use a computer for research purposes.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
