Quality Inspector Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with an extensive machine shop who is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team.  The Quality Inspector will interpret blueprints, engineering and manufacturing drawings and specifications; verifying the final product has met quality standards and compile results derived from measurements, and data for product that has not met standard quality guidelines.  The ideal Quality Inspector has multiple years of similar hands-on experience as a Quality Inspector, has solid knowledge of GD&T, ISO 9000, AS9100, and compiling data into thorough reports. The Quality Inspector position is a full-time, temp to hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:

• Verify Product Meets Top Quality Standards by Continuous Inspections From Inbound Shipments to a Multi-Point Inspections During Production 
• Perform Measurements During Inspections Using CMM With Compatible CMM Software
• Read & Interpret Blueprints, Drawings & Data to Verify Quality Standards 
• Document Product Inspections Throughout The Manufacturing Process For Electrical, Mechanical, Dimensions & Various Other Standards 
• Document Data & Write Reports Applying Quality Control Stats & Results With Variables, Variations, & Deviations
• Upon Performing Quality Control Inspections, Generate Certificates of Conformance as Required or Directed 
• Perform a Variety of Tests to Measure Destructive or Nondestructive (Control Group) Materials, Parts, or Products 
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

 

Quality Inspector Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
• Associate’s Degree & or 3+ Years of Direct Quality Control Related Work 
• Excellent Faro Arm & CMM Programming Knowledge
• Solid Metrology & Blueprint Reading Knowledge 
• Must Have Solid Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Word, & Excel 
• Knowledge of GD&T, AS9100, & ISO 9000 
• Must Have Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills 
• Must be Comfortable Giving Presentations as Needed
