Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is a licensed childcare center seeking Floater Teachers to support all age groups, Infants-PreK and an Assistant Teacher to support our Toddler classroom. To be  QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma, completion of early childhood education credentials (EDU 119 class) and the ability to pass all background checks. A  plus if you have previous childcare experience! Required Shift:  Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm Compensation: $15-17/hr, based on education and experience We are a family-oriented, close-knit organization and we have a lot to offer our next team member including:

Our Hiring Process for Assistant Preschool Teachers:

1. Resume screen 
2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) 
3. On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) 
   1. Q&A
   2. Classroom observation
4. Offer

Main Job Responsibilities for Assistant Preschool Teachers:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
