As part of the Clinglobal group, we support innovation for animal health companies worldwide—from startups to industry leaders.Position SummaryThe Animal Research Technician supports study coordinators and researchers by performing routine and advanced study activities, technical procedures, and animal care. This role plays a key part in both research execution and maintaining high standards of animal welfare and facility operations.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Technical SupportAssist with study activities and technical procedures following established protocolsHandle and restrain animals as directedObserve and report changes in animal health, behavior, or consumption patternsCollect specimens (e.g., blood, parasites, microbiological swabs) for analysisAccurately record and maintain study and animal health dataAnimal Care & Facility SupportAdminister medications and treatments as directedPrepare and manage feeds and specialized dietsProvide pre- and post-operative careReceive, transport, and/or ship animalsFeed, water, groom, and exercise animalsClean and sanitize animal rooms, cages, and equipmentTransfer animals, supplies, and equipment as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma + 3 years of lab animal experience ORAssociate degree/certification in animal science + 2 years of experience ORBachelor's degree in animal science + 1 year of experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand and remain active for an 8-hour shiftComfortable performing cleaning/sanitation tasks involving animal wasteStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Must be fit for duty and able to work safely around animals and equipmentSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, 40 hours per weekTypical schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMWeekend, holiday, and overtime work may be requiredCompensation & Benefits$18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experienceHealth, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceUp to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year (increases with tenure)401(k) with company match up to 5%Additional Information Data Privacy NoticeOur facility is USDA-licensed and AAALAC-accreditedApplicants should apply using a supported browser (Internet Explorer is not supported)Equal Opportunity EmployerClinvet NY is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
