Summary
Offering a Sign on Bonus! Performs polysomnography, scores records and performs routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment. Performs related clerical work and documentation required to effectively maintain all clinical and operational aspects of the Sleep Disorders Center. Evaluates patients for sleep related breathing disorders and other sleep abnormalities including but not limited to seizure disorders and narcolepsy. Must be a graduate of a Respiratory Care Program; or have completed the A-STEP program from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; or be a graduate of a CAAHEP program (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program). Must have the RPSGT credential from the BRPT or SDS credential from the NBRC or RST credential from the American Board of Sleep Medicine. If candidate does not have the RPSGT, RST or SDS credential, must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC and be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPC) by the IPLA and pass the RPSGT, RST or SDS within 1 year of being eligible to sit for the exam. Must have current basic CPR certification. Prefer 1 year experience working as a Polysomnographer. Prefer 6 months experience working with pediatric patient populations.
