Bus Driver

Description of Job: Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) OR ability to obtain (Class A or B with P or S or both P and S Endorsements)
• Fingerprinting completed prior to first day of work

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of student discipline procedure
• Ability to manage student behavior
• Ability to operate bus and keep accurate daily records
• Ability to operate 2 way radio
• Ability to work occasional extended hours if needed

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
