R&D Biologist

Our client, a leader in agricultural R&D, is seeking an R&D Biologist to join their team. The position involves agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation, molecular characterization of transgenic events, maintenance of plants in greenhouse, and lab keeping. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in both laboratory and greenhouse settings. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Contract Work Location: Chesterfield, MO Work Arrangement: Onsite Core Responsibilities The position involves agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation, molecular characterization of transgenic events, maintenance of plants in greenhouse, and lab keeping Preparing lab space for daily duties and performing weekly lab/biotech cleaning tasks Performing experimental set up, monitoring, and reporting Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelor’s degree in plant biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or microbiology 1+ year of laboratory research experience Desire to work and take initiative within a team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Familiarity and/or experiences with tissue culture, sterile technique, molecular cloning, gene regulation, and microscopy will be a plus Experience in caring for plants in a greenhouse/controlled environment setting Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Safety-focused mindset and adherence to procedures Reliable, hands-on approach with strong work ethic Ability to communicate issues clearly and collaborate with team members Adaptability in a fast-paced research environment Location: Chesterfield, MO Work Arrangement: Onsite Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is $20.00 and $29.00 an hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
