Job Overview Under the supervision of the Butler Manager/Lead Butler, a Butler provides exceptional personalized service and ensures all guests’ needs are met in a prompt and efficient manner. Essential Job Functions Prioritizes and makes decisions at a high level of importance and at a fast pace, utilizing proper resources. Prepares suites for arrival (lights, television, temperature, music) ensuring the suite is in pristine condition. Delivers and sets up amenities in guest suites in a detail‑oriented and appealing presentation. Greets all VIP guests upon arrival, explains all services provided by the butler staff for their comfort and pleasure. Maintains confidentiality of guest information and activities within the VIP team. Takes food and beverage orders while maintaining excellent knowledge of all dining venues. Serves meals, snacks, tea, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and other food and beverage items in guest suites from casual and fine dining restaurants. Assists guests with unpacking and packing. Polishes shoes, removes spots, brushes, presses, performs minor repairs to clothing, and arranges for laundry and dry‑cleaning services. Assists guests with bathing, dressing, and other personal needs as requested. Arranges spa and salon appointments, restaurant reservations and transportation requests to ensure priority service. Coordinates housekeeping and turndown services to ensure timely, seamless, unobtrusive service. Coordinates special requests made by guests with VIP Services on behalf of the Casino Host or other management. Purchases specialty items for guests with approval of their Casino Host. Coordinates bellman upon checkout and ensures transportation is arranged and on time. Replenishes glassware, dishes, and beverages upon checkout and reports any housekeeping or facilities issues to management. Maintains adequate par stock of food/beverage, china, flatware, glassware, linen, dry/paper products to meet business demand. Maintains a clean and organized butler pantry in compliance with local fire and health regulations. Attends training classes as requested to further knowledge and skills. Completes all side‑work duties before shift end to set peers up for success. Participates in informative and detail‑oriented pass‑downs between shifts. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Qualifications Two years of college preferred. Minimum four (4) years of food and beverage experience in a first‑class hotel, casino, restaurant, or related hospitality area. Excellent understanding of food and beverage service skills, including in‑room dining, fine dining, wine, and spirits knowledge. Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English. Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms. Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Casino environment can be hectic, fast‑paced, crowded, noisy, and may expose employees to second‑hand smoke and other environmental factors. Must communicate effectively with guests in English.
