DevOps Engineer

This position is not tied to a location. The individuals should be available during work hours in the US. I have people on both coasts and in central time.

The two individuals we’re asking for will assist in the installation, configuration, and operation of a product called FOSSA.

We don’t yet have all the details. But we believe these people will perform these tasks:

• Create an installation package for FOSSA CLI so that engineers can download and install it without requiring admin. This will require coordination with U.S. Bank’s IT group to validate. Make this installation package available via the U.S. Bank software catalog.
• Onboarding FOSSA to U.S. Bank’s Access Management via the Self-Onboarding process. This may include configuring the tool to leverage Active Directory to enable Single Sign On.
• Configuring the product for mobile apps, containers, web apps, and other deployment types.
• Integrate FOSSA to three pipelines: Shied, Synopsis I/O, and Mobile pipelines.
• Create the how-to guide for engineers to install and use the product.
• Perform on-demand tests for various teams who will onboard to the product.
• Help teams onboard to the tool.
• Establish and configure tool monitoring so that we can maintain it operationally.
• Monitor and ensure the tool complies with security and operational policies.

The successful candidates have at least 5 years of devops experience.

They are familiar with developing software in professional environments. They know BASH, Golang, or NodeJS. They can manage API keys and SwaggerHub API specifications. They understand GitLab repos and branching.

They know all about CI/CD build pipelines.

They are familiar with Kubernetes, Terraform, and MinIO.

They have experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog and the ELK stack.

It helps significantly if the candidate is familiar with:

• Open source projects
• Code scanning tools
• Vulnerability management
• And are familiar with Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitLab runners, Cloudbees, ADO, Artifactory, and other build pipeline tools.
• If they have implemented code scanning tools like FOSSA, Checkmarx, BlackDuck, Snyk, Mend, Ravenera, or Sonatype etc. before, they’d be ideal.

We will seat a 5-person panel. The interviews will be via video, ideally. Of course, we’ll provide any reasonable accommodations, as per ADA, etc. At least one and probably two interviews will be very technical. We’ll need to know that the candidate can perform the technical work and can demonstrate familiarity with the tasks.
