Senior Systems Engineer

Engineer, administer, and secure enterprise Windows and RHEL systems Maintain and enforce baseline configurations Administer and optimize VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments Support VDI infrastructure Manage endpoint and configuration management Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash/Linux scripting, and Ansible Serve as subject matter expert for ACAS scanning and analysis Lead system-level vulnerability remediation efforts to closure Implement and manage Trellix, HBSS, and ESS endpoint security solutions Support RMF activities, including control validation, POA&M development, and continuous monitoring Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD policies, and Navy cybersecurity requirements Provide limited support for Brocade switches, including firmware and baselines Troubleshoot systems in lab and production environments Participate in technical reviews, change management, and engineering boards Produce and review implementation plans, test results, technical reports, and other technical documentation Coordinate and share knowledge within a multidisciplinary engineering team Requirements US Citizenship Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance with a current SSBI/T5 investigation TS/SCI desired DoD 8140/8570 certifications qualified as Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II, e.g. CompTIA Security+ 10+ years of experience with C4I systems focused on systems engineering and cybersecurity support Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Operating System Certificate, e.g. Linux+, Windows Server, CCNA Experience supporting Navy C4I environments VMware, Microsoft, or Linux enterprise certifications Experience supporting classified environments with privileged access Experience automating infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell Experience with CI/CD tools and automation platforms Familiarity with containerization and cloud security Familiarity with Navy cloud and automation platforms Git repository management Knowledge of FRCB deployment requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in engineering, administering, and securing enterprise Windows and RHEL systems, with a strong focus on automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
