If you're looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment with room to grow, we'd love to meet you!Pay: $19 per hourShifts2nd Shift Hours + Must Work Scheduled OvertimeWhy Join Feralloy?Competitive hourly pay + bonus opportunitiesLearning multiple positions, will increase hourly payBenefits Begin on Day 31 of Employment (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k + match)Accrue PTO (Paid Time Off) Day 1 of EmploymentFamily-oriented cultureOpportunities for growth and advancementPhysical RequirementsClimb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information)Function in the JobMedium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Job FunctionPackage finished material according to customer specifications and package codesSafely move material to packaging areas using conveyors, cranes, or other equipment Inspect material for proper packaging requirements and visible quality issues before packagingAssist with blocking, wrapping, and banding of material to ensure secure and compliant packagingUse gantry crane and lifting equipment when required for packaging operationsCoordinate with crane operators to move material in and out of packaging areasMaintain packaging line organization by keeping areas clear of unnecessary equipment and materialsMonitor packaged material to ensure it meets customer and company quality standardsIdentify and report any quality defects or nonconforming materialFollow all safety procedures when handling material and operating equipmentPerform daily inspection of equipment as required and report unsafe conditionsComplete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flowMaintain a clean and organized work area, including removing scrap, bands, boards, and wasteHandle tools and equipment properly and store them safely after usRequired SkillsStrong work ethic with a commitment to teamworkAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAttention to detail to ensure accurate packaging and qualityAbility to safely operate or assist with cranes and material handling equipmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to recognize quality issues and report discrepancies
