Learn more at and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer II to join our shared services team.Primary Responsibilities:Engineering Design & DocumentationIndependently develop and produce complete engineering documentation packages, including detailed drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules that meet project specifications and company standardsReview and verify design accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and customer requirements to uphold quality, safety, and performanceAssist with change orders and value engineering by analyzing design alternatives and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement practical, cost-effective solutions.Coordinate with design teams and stakeholders to integrate revisions and updates promptly, maintaining up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecyclePerform technical reviews and quality checks on engineering deliverables to minimize errors and support smooth project executionProject Coordination & CommunicationServe as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects, facilitating clear, timely communication between internal teams, clients, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment and project successCoordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and other engineering resources to align design deliverables with project timelines, installation schedules, and changing site conditionsOrganize and participate in project meetings and progress reviews, documenting action items and ensuring follow-up on engineering-related tasksCommunicate design changes, technical clarifications, and updates effectively to all relevant parties to minimize misunderstandings and delaysTrack project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying potential risks or scheduling conflicts and collaborating on mitigation strategiesTechnical Support & Field CollaborationProvide technical guidance and support to field teams during installation and commissioning, helping ensure smooth execution and quick resolution of technical issuesRespond promptly to on-site technical questions and challenges, collaborating with field personnel to diagnose problems and implement effective solutionsIdentify and propose engineering solutions to resolve project challenges, leveraging technical expertise and practical experience to optimize system performance and reliabilityCoordinate with project managers and contractors to communicate technical requirements and resolve installation discrepanciesDocument field issues and resolutions, ensuring lessons learned are captured and communicated for continuous improvementVendor & Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain technical specifications and support, ensuring product compatibility and accurate documentation for design and submittal packagesReview and validate vendor-provided information to confirm alignment with project requirements, technical standards, and customer expectationsCoordinate product selection and substitution efforts when needed, working with internal teams and vendors to support value engineering and procurement needsMaintain effective communication with external stakeholders to address technical questions, lead times, and integration challenges throughout the project lifecycleBasic Qualifications:High school diploma3+ years' experience in engineering or coordinationProficient in CAD and design toolsStrong understanding of low-voltage systems, including security, access control, fire alarm, AV, and related technologiesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesThe salary range for this position is $80,000–$120,000 annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
