Clinical Research Coordinator 2

Who We Are Tasso is a fast-growing Seattle-based startup focused on delivering at-home diagnostic testing to those who need it most. We are growing our footprint with leading health systems, clinical research organizations, academic medical centers, and more who are looking to deliver clinical-grade, convenient diagnostic tests to their patients. Tasso was originally founded to find a better way to collect blood instead of a painful fingerstick or time-consuming venous draw. Since then, our products have been used in pharmaceutical clinical trials, by Olympians as part of a new virtual anti-doping program, and broadly by hospital systems across the US. We are looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator 2, a Seattle-based role responsible for handling clinical research study materials and specimens for the Clinical team. This position will report to our Associate Director, Clinical Operations. An ideal candidate will have at a minimum 2years’ experience in a participant-facing clinical research setting. What You Will Do Conduct Clinical Research Studies: Recruit, prescreen, and obtain informed consent from prospective study participants Conduct clinical study visits, including collecting medical history, performing protocol-specified procedures and phlebotomy, and recording source data Provide study devices to participants and educate them on proper use Collect, process, and prepare specimens in accordance with clinical and laboratory protocols Maintain screening logs, enrollment logs, and participant records, both manually and electronically Enter and validate study data, e.g., into electronic data capture (EDC) platforms or study spreadsheets Support protocol compliance and participate in quality reviews of study activities Travel to partner laboratories, at-home collection sites, and additional clinic locations to support enrollment and data collection Provide data and documentation support: Support clinical and laboratory data cleaning, reconciliation, and query resolution across active studies, in partnership with the study team Assist with data listings, discrepancy review, and routine EDC data management tasks Maintain regulatory and essential documents and support Study Master File (SMF) upkeep Assist with study start-up and close-out activities and associated documentation Who You Are Authorized to work in the United States Primarily on-site in Seattle five days per week - candidates outside of the Seattle area will not be considered for this role Bachelor’s Degree in a biological or health science field At least two years of experience in a clinical research coordinator or comparable role Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification for Washington State, or readiness to obtain it Working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trials, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Comfort working with clinical/laboratory data and research data systems; experience with EDC platforms preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn other research systems, e.g., EDC. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across concurrent programs Ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team Phlebotomy certification preferred (to be completed within 30 days of hire if not already held) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn research inventory and data systems Occasional travel to partner laboratories or study sites may be required (estimated up to 10%) GCP and IATA training (to be completed within 30 days of hire if not already held) Able to lift and handle laboratory shipments and supplies as needed Able to perform other responsibilities as assigned What We Offer $75K/yr - $90K/yr base salary+ Stock Options We offer competitive compensation, benefits and a fantastic work environment: 95% paid Medical, 100% Dental & Vision for employees and a generous subsidy for dependents 11 Paid Holidays and generous Time Off policies 401K + Employer Match Paid parental leave policy We have a strong healthcare-driven mission, and your guidance and efforts will directly link to our success.
