Occupational Therapist - School

American Traveler is hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist with previous school-based experience to support middle school students in a collaborative district team setting.

Job Details

• On-site position at Thomas Middle School and South Middle School,
• Day shift schedule following the school calendar, Monday through Friday,
• Full-time schedule preferred, though two part-time candidates may be considered,
• Part of a district-wide team of eight Occupational Therapists,
• Supports middle school building-level teams,

Job Requirements

• Previous school-based experience required,
• License required if applicable,
• CPS fingerprinting and CANTS background checks required prior to start,

Additional Information

• Complete initial evaluations and re-evaluations to determine special education eligibility,
• Provide MTSS and IEP support to students,
• Consult with staff and teams to support generalization of skills across school settings,
• Clearance for background checks may take up to three weeks and must be completed before starting
