Data Center Installer (Fiber & Structured Cabling)

Now Hiring: Senior Data Center Installer (Fiber & Structured Cabling)

Pay: $32–$40/hr. W2 (based on experience)

Contract: 6–12 Months with Extension Potential

Location: Washington DC / Ashburn, VA

Lenmar Consulting is seeking experienced Data Center Installers to support large-scale data center and network infrastructure deployments. This role is ideal for professionals with strong fiber optic, structured cabling, and data center installation experience who enjoy working on complex, mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

Install, route, and patch fiber optic cabling in data center environments
Install, terminate, and maintain copper, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling
Perform cable testing, troubleshooting, and connectivity verification
Read and interpret floor plans, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
Mount, align, and secure racks, hardware, and infrastructure components
Execute complex cabling and wiring activities while maintaining quality standards
Follow safety procedures and project requirements in active data center environments

Qualifications

Experience in data center installation, telecommunications, or structured cabling environments
Strong fiber optic installation and patching experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience reading technical drawings and installation documentation
Comfortable climbing ladders and performing physical installation work
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
