Responsibilities
- Serve as the circulating RN for complex adult cardiac procedures in the OR; may scrub for selected cases as needed
- Support surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, and other heart-related procedures; assist with heart failure devices and related therapies
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, sterile technique, and efficient intraoperative flow
- Manage intraoperative equipment, instrument counts, and supplies; monitor patient status and respond to emergent events
- Document intraoperative care and maintain accurate perioperative records; participate in post-procedure handoffs
- Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and infection control practices; adapt to unit needs including weekends and on-call requirements

Requirements
- Active NY RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience; level 1 trauma OR experience highly desired
- Ability to scrub and circulate in the cardiac OR
- Experience with complex adult cardiac cases (CABG, TAVR, structural heart procedures, heart failure devices) preferred; heart transplant experience preferred
- Availability to work 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. shifts and to participate in weekends/holidays as required
