Overview Stony Point Baptist Church (Stony Point, NC) is prayerfully seeking a humble man of bold faith in Christ Jesus to be our full-time Pastor. Established in 1909, we are a Southern Baptist Church and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, with an average attendance of ~90. Our congregation loves the Lord and seeks to glorify Him through an active children’s ministry and community initiatives. We believe the Lord will call a leader, capable both in pulpit proclamation and pastoral care – conforming to the qualifications for the office in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Applicants should have a demonstrable commitment to the great commission and disciple making for Jesus. The Pastor will have special charge of the pulpit ministry, including both Sunday worship and Wednesday night Bible Study. He will also be responsible for the administrative duties of the church, able to delegate duties to church staff and committees, while also shepherding the congregation through visitations and counseling. The Lord called our former Pastor to an opportunity with the Baptist Children’s Home, and while we will miss him and his family, our desire is to continue to glorify the Lord and reach the lost in our community. #J-18808-Ljbffr SBC Executive Committee
