Overview
Occupational Therapist - Acute Care, travel assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii. Start date 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,440–$1,476 per week. Guaranteed hours: 32 per week. Shift: 5x8 days (8-hour days). Work setting: short-term acute care hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop occupation-focused plans of care for acute inpatient populations.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve upper-extremity function, mobility, self-care, cognition, and family/caregiver education.
- Reassess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, documenting outcomes and progress notes per policy.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, physicians) to coordinate discharge planning and ensure safe transitions to home or alternate care settings.
- Educate patients and families on treatment goals, safety strategies, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs; document discharge recommendations.

Requirements
- Current Hawaii occupational therapist license (must be certified to practice in Hawaii).
- Ability to cover weekends and work dayshift; approximately 40 hours per week as required by the assignment notes.
- Prior experience in acute care settings preferred to support rapid assessment and discharge planning.
- Willingness to work in a travel - temporary assignment environment and adapt to the needs of a short-term inpatient unit.
- Compliant with all applicable state and facility regulations and able to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.
