Phlebotomist – We Train You Are a Fit For Us If You Have Superior customer service standards A High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule An interest in making a difference in the world Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable Primary Responsibilities Assist in determining the suitability of donors. Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality. Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions. Monitor donor and equipment to ensure the health of donors and the quality of product. Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines. Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment. Occupational Demands Work performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold. Requires personal protective equipment such as eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear. Standing 6–8 hours per day, with bending, twisting, and frequent hand and foot movements. Light lifting up to 15 lbs, maximum 50 lbs. Visual and hearing acuity are required. Estimated Pay and Benefits Position based in California: $19–$20 per hour.
