Job Summary

The Line Cook position prepared and cooks food using techniques and procedures established by the Executive Chef and delivers product on a timely basis. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Attendance, punctuality and dependability; adaptability; professionalism; initiative, planning/organizing ; teamwork, ethics customer service and, safety and security.

Essential Job Functions

• Reads menu to estimate food requirements
• Prepares food at the highest standards
• Delivers food in a timely manner to servers, residents, guests and staff
• Mentors other staff as appropriate
• Preps food
• Complies with all Highlands policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to interface with diverse staff with positivity
• Ability to apply common sense understanding regarding instructions

Qualifications

• Saute Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year certification for college or technical school preferred
• Have current food handler’s card
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Successfully pass drug screen
• Weekend availabilit
