Fund Formation and Investment Management Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate with 4‑6 years of relevant experience to join their Fund Formation and Investment Management Practice Group in Boston. The role involves providing comprehensive services to general partners and limited partners, understanding the business objectives and trends within the private funds industry. Duties Structure funds and management entities. Negotiate with institutional investors, including pension plans and endowments. Handle secondary sales of limited partner fund stakes. Manage GP‑led fund restructurings. Draft and manage sophisticated legal matters. Collaborate with partners, senior counsel, and clients. Requirements Solid experience in fund formation and investment management. Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and Securities Act. Strong drafting and interpersonal skills. Proactive mindset and exceptional work ethic. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) of practice. Skills Ability to manage complex legal matters. Comfortable working in collaborative teams.
