As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will be responsible for:Operating within a cross-functional team made up of both technical and non-technical team members.Providing design concepts, material/design specifications, detailed part and assembly drawing drawings using Siemens NX with analysis where appropriate.Providing complete design, development and testing of your work.Communicating technical and commercial issues, including working with in-house and outsourced manufacturing in a global environment.Recommending new designs and processes or improvement to existing design and processes to meet functional requirements.This position may suit you best if you are familiar with the areas and concepts below, and would like to develop your skills within Healthineers:CAD, FEA and CFD (Siemens NX)2D drawings (with GD&T, tolerance stack up, form, fit and function consideration)Structural designKnowledge of electronics packaging for EMI/EMCLiquid and/or air cooling of electronicsInterested in medical imaging and/or medical technologyFDA/ISO design controlsMotivated to learn and develop your technical skillsRequired skills and education to have for the success of this role:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your universityWork Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is requiredWe are a team of more than 72,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
