Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at the facility in Wichita, Kansas. This seasonal travel opportunity involves working day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The role offers a chance to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting recovery and post-operative patient management.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 9A - 9P, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; current acute care hospital Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN experience with at least 1 year of recent experience; BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); location requirements apply; no minimum experience specified
• Preferred Qualifications: Meditech electronic medical record experience; flexibility with hours; prior experience with craniotomies and orthopedic procedures; excellent attitude, stress management, and patient-focused approach
• Additional Information: The unit has 30 beds with a staffing ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients during day shift, and 1 RN to 1 patient as needed. Typical procedures include neurosurgical and orthopedic recovery. The team values great personality fit, a positive attitude, and patient experience. On-call responsibilities include two eight-hour shifts every third weekend.
