Job Description Job Description River Hills Family Medicine has an opening for a Physician Assistant to join our team in Austin, Texas . We offer traditional family medicine but also add elements of integrative health including hormone replacement therapy . Since 2009, we have grown into a well-established medical practice in now in two locations, serving over 20,000 patients. Our physicians have been voted "Top Doctors" in Austin for five years in a row! The position is 4 to 5 days per week . Call will be shared, 1:5 weeks from home by phone only. Our office hours are Monday thru Thursday from 7:40 AM to 5 PM, and Friday 7:40AM to 2PM. Job Description: · Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician but has the ability to work an independent schedule of patients · Assesses patient health by acquiring accurate history and performing physical examination · Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results · Completes documentation in a timely manner · Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans · Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations · Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions · Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Education and Experience Requirements: · At least 1 year of experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine · Hold a current Texas Medical License in good-standing · Must be board certified · Confident in working with an electronic Health record (AthenaHealth experience a plus) · Experience with BioTE Hormone Replacement preferred but not required Benefits: · Competitive base salary with bonus opportunities · Medical Insurance - 100% covered by employer for full-time employee · Dental Insurance · Paid time off ·401K with match · No night or weekend shifts · No holiday shifts · Paid Holidays off Required Skills: · Must be a good team player · Work independently to manage his/her daily schedule of patients of patients 6 years old and above · Active listening and learning · Critical thinking · Effective communication with supervising physician, staff, and patients · Excellent time management to allow appropriate documentation and correspondence with patients regarding results.
