Gillmann Services seeks 8 electricians to work at an Amazon project in Kansas City, MO, ASAP.
This is a 6-8 week project. Once finished, we will travel to either PA or Georgia for a longer project.
Apprentice (1–3 yrs): $28/hr.
Apprentice (4-6 yrs) = $30/hr.
Journeyman mechanics 7yrs + = $32/hr.
Working 6-10's, but going 7-10's soon.
$100/day per-diem. .
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately to guide installation and maintenance tasks.
- Perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex electrical systems.
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely in accordance with NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
- Utilize testing instruments such as ohmmeters to measure resistance and verify circuit integrity.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate framing carpentry, schematic layouts, and other related tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematic modifications or repairs for future reference.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards during installation or troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with high-voltage wiring practices and low-voltage systems.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, power meters (such as ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment confidently.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Safety Code) compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Basic handyman skills including framing carpentry can be advantageous for integrated project tasks.
- OSHA 10 certification
