Job Title

Registered Nurse – PCU / Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Zanesville, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a PCU/Cardiac Stepdown unit, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drip management, and post-op open-heart patients
• Care for cardiac and med-surg stepdown patients across varying acuity levels
• Work an expected schedule of 36 hours per week on night shift, rotating every 3rd weekend and covering one holiday (subject to change based on census and staffing)
• Float to other units during periods of low census or coverage needs, as required
• Provide care to ventilated patients in rare circumstances based on patient needs and staffing requirements; candidates should be comfortable doing so if needed
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio or compact eligibility
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac stepdown experience, including open-heart post-op care
• Experience with Open-Heart patients is required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing cardiac drips and hemodynamically complex patients
• Comfort with ventilated patient care in a stepdown environment
• Familiarity with fluctuating census environments and cross-unit float responsibilities
