Role Overview

At Mitsubishi Power, our mission is to create a future that works for people and the planet by developing innovative power generation technology and solutions. To support this mission, we are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist who will support the execution of communications, employee engagement initiatives, project coordination, and strategic events for Power Generation Services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, PGS, this role helps translate business priorities into clear communications, organized project plans, and well-executed employee and stakeholder experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized project coordinator, and proactive team player who can manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work that supports business objectives and strengthens employee engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communications Development

• Draft internal communications including announcements, employee updates, newsletters, Viva Engage content, and business milestone communications
• Support the development of presentations, talking points, briefing materials, communication plans, and supporting assets
• Support communication planning for organizational updates, employee programs, culture campaigns, and business priorities
• Coordinate communication reviews, approvals, and distribution across stakeholder groups
• Ensure messaging is clear, accurate, audience-appropriate, and aligned with Mitsubishi Power brand standards, voice, and quality expectations

Project Management and Coordination

• Manage project timelines, communication calendars, deliverable tracking, and status updates to ensure work moves forward efficiently
• Coordinate activities among business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and shared-service partners
• Facilitate meetings, capture action items, track follow-up activities, and maintain visibility into deadlines and dependencies
• Maintain communication plans, templates, project documentation, resource libraries, and repeatable tools that support efficient execution
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve processes, coordination, and project visibility

Employee Engagement and Culture Programs

• Assist with planning and executing employee engagement campaigns, site communications, and culture-building initiatives
• Develop content and promotional materials that support employee experiences, workplace initiatives, and organizational connection
• Support employee feedback efforts, engagement activities, and follow-up communications
• Coordinate awareness campaigns tied to business priorities, milestones, employee programs, and organizational initiatives
• Help create engaging communications that reinforce company values and enhance the employee experience

Events

• Assist with planning and execution of employee events, workshops, and conferences
• Coordinate attendee communications, agendas, presentation materials, speaker support, signage, run-of-show documents, and event logistics
• Develop event communication plans and supporting content before, during, and after key events
• Support post-event communications, recaps, feedback collection, and follow-up activities
• Track lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve future event planning and execution

Knowledge, Skills, and Education

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, or related field required
• Three to five years of experience in communications, marketing communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, event support, project coordination, or related discipline
• Experience drafting business communications, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and coordinating projects or events
• Experience working in industrial, energy, engineering, manufacturing, or B2B environments preferred

Communication Excellence

• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex business information into clear, concise, audience-friendly communications
• Strong storytelling, content planning, presentation development, and message-development capabilities

Project Coordination

• Strong organizational and planning capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to track timelines, approvals, dependencies, and deliverables while maintaining attention to detail
• Comfortable coordinating across matrixed teams and following through with stakeholders at multiple levels

Employee Engagement and Event Support

• Understanding of employee communications, engagement campaigns, culture initiatives, and internal events
• Ability to support meetings, events, leadership sessions, and employee-facing programs with professionalism and attention to detail
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to create organized, positive experiences for employees, leaders, and stakeholders

Brand and Quality Standards

• Ability to ensure communications and materials reflect Mitsubishi Power brand standards, voice, visual identity, and messaging quality
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and high-quality execution
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and Excel
