Details Operating Room unit within a hospital setting Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM Variable weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed Epic charting system used Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel Required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic surgical procedures Skills needed include abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, colporrhaphy, tubal ligation, D&C, and laparoscopic gynecological procedures Skills needed include ALIF, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, and XLIF Skills needed include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures Skills needed include arthroscopy, closed and open reduction of fractures, and total joint replacement Experience in transplant surgeries including intestinal, kidney, liver, and pancreas preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration Additional Information Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across multiple surgical service lines No holiday RTO approved during blackout dates of 11/23-11/29 and 12/21-1/3 Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, all RTO must be finalized prior to submission No RTO or schedule change requests permitted after offer or onsite, or during orientation week Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling Local candidates accepted at the same rate First-time travelers will not be considered for this unit Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler Travelers previously cancelled or marked DNR by a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-732858.
