Senior Project Manager - Geotechnical Engineering

Job Summary Langan is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager / Engineer to join its collaborative team in Cleveland, OH . The role involves client interaction, staff training and project leadership, preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans and design of geotechnical foundations, retaining walls, and other construction aspects. Collaboration across functions and with industry leadership is essential. Job Responsibilities Preparation of technical reports, specifications, construction plans, and geotechnical recommendations Preparation of proposals, coordination of projects, client management and billing Mentorship, coaching, and review of staff work Expansion of services to existing clients and potential new client development while maintaining strong billability Support for excavation designs and Plaxis 3D analysis Log borings and perform observations during construction projects Manage multiple projects and tasks within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; monitor budgets, schedules, and timelines Perform other duties as required Qualifications Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred; Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field Professional Engineer licensure 10+ years of related geotechnical experience Experience with geotechnical investigations and construction inspections Office experience in investigation and field work coordination, report writing, and specification drafting Field experience in earthworks, pile construction, load testing, footings/subgrade/backfill inspection, ground improvements, retaining wall design, and excavation support systems Desired software knowledge: gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, SHAKE Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities Ability to work independently and within a team Some field work required and reliable transportation with valid driver’s license Benefits Full-time employment with company‑paid medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; paid pregnancy disability leave; 401(k) with company match; paid time off including parental and military leave; employee referral and professional license bonuses; educational reimbursement.
