Software Engineer Senior

Essential Functions Participates in designing, developing, troubleshooting and analyzing software programs for new and existing systems. Develops/modifies documentation of new or existing program, as required. Conduct/support complex Level 1, 2, and 3 testing to qualify systems for Range operations. Provides feedback and reports to management on the status of each project supporting. Leads technical proposals as well as software maintenance release efforts including estimating, planning, and scheduling. Supports the efforts of all technical support personnel for assigned projects. Additional duties as assigned. Strong organizational and time‑management skills to balance, plan, prioritize and execute projects. Ability to work within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with time constraints. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Required Experience Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Current DOD 8140 Certification (Security+) or ability to obtain certification within six months of start date. Experience with Windows and Linux (RedHat and GNU) based computer systems; scripting languages (Python, JavaScript); design and coding languages; virtualized systems (VMware). Flexibility to work occasional non‑duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements; some travel (less than 10%). Ability to lift 30 lbs. Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Compensation $135,000 to $145,000 (salary range subject to factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable agreements, and laws).
