Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including elective and emergency surgeries
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to ensure efficient operations
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients
• Provide expert consultations and recommendations for surgical interventions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
• Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the surgical environment

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
• Experience in a clinical setting, with preference given to those with locum tenens experience
• Strong surgical skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current medical license in the state of Tennessee
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Daily Volume: 10-12

Support Staff: APPs

Must be board-certified
