This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with learners aged 16-21, guiding them toward academic and personal growth throughout an 11-month school calendar. What you bring:
• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience supporting high school-aged students with diverse learning needs
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEP) and ability to implement targeted instructional strategies
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and creatively engage students

Your responsibilities:
• Deliver direct instruction and educational support to students with special needs, ages 16-21
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and IEPs
• Track student progress and maintain thorough, organized records
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents/guardians
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere that celebrates students’ strengths
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional training
• Support students’ transition goals, promoting independence and real-world skills
