Material Handler / Warehouse Associate
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Material Handler for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Fort Myers Metro area. This role requires a blend of traditional warehouse labor skills and technical aptitude to handle specialized products and maintain efficient operations.
Position Details
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM (plus any necessary overtime)
- Location: Fort Myers Metro area
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Material Handler / Warehouse Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on duties including loading, unloading, staging, inspecting, and packaging large items.
- Previous experience handling products such as appliances, furniture, bedding, or fitness equipment.
- Execute inventory and stock updates using basic computer skills.
- Utilize RF scanners and barcode technology for accurate material tracking.
- Operate a forklift (experience preferred; in-house certification will be provided).
- Apply analytical thinking to interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as picking speed and accuracy.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for minor equipment issues (e.g., resolving printer issues, paper jams, and connectivity problems).
Material Handler / Warehouse Associate Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience in product handling, specifically loading, unloading, inspecting, staging, and packaging.
- Experience with RF scanners and barcode technology.
- Proficiency in basic computer tasks, including data entry, shipment input, and inventory/stock updates.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and demonstrate analytical thinking.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred.
- Strong focus on teamwork and operational efficiency.
