Sentara is hiring a Surgical Assistant at Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 offered for qualified candidates. Shift: Full Time, First Shift.

The Surgical Assistant II works as a 1st or 2nd assistant to the surgeon and under the direction/supervision of that surgeon and in accordance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations. The Surgical Assistant works as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team, collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia Surgical Assistant License REQUIRED
• NBSTSA/NCCSA Certification REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification REQUIRED

Experience

• 3 years Surgical Assistant experience REQUIRED
