Shifts will vary depending on school needs and the student's schedule. Should a specific location/job be posted, you may also be required to apply to that posting.Job Description:The custodian performs routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and polishing furniture.Minimum Qualifications:Proven ability and willingness to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strengthProven ability to read basic operating instructionsProven ability to cooperate with other staff membersProven ability to adapt to changes in the work environmentProven dependability and punctualityProven ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operationsHave the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (up to 40+ lbs.) as neededAbility to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessaryProven ability and willingness to learn and follow all safety procedures and practicesPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipmentPrevious custodial experienceAbility to use a computer and input data
