If you are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about public health, this position provides a meaningful way to contribute to community well-being.Responsibilities– Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions using repackaging machines and heat sealers. – Receive, track, and maintain accurate inventory reports for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. – Ensure medications are stored according to legal and program-specific requirements, including separation for 340B and funding sources. – Support the accurate entry of medication pricing into electronic health records. – Distribute filled prescriptions to designated county health departments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. – Remove expired medications from stock and assist in procurement and requisition of supplies. – Monitor electronic temperature systems to maintain product integrity. – Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment, including scales, measures, and dispensing devices. – Support pharmacy operations, including phone and email communications, inventory management, and recordkeeping. – Assist with all related pharmacy duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.Required Skills– Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory systems and basic pharmacology principles. – Familiarity with public health practices and medical terminology relevant to therapeutics. – Understanding of procedures for filling, labeling, and distributing prescriptions. – Ability to operate scales, measures, and dispensing devices accurately. – Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. – Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences. – Competency in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer systems related to pharmacy operations. – Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely and maintain accurate records.Additional Skills & Requirements– Minimum of three years' experience as a pharmacy clerk or an equivalent combination of education and experience; college coursework may substitute for experience. – Experience with pharmacy inventory systems, electronic health records, and temperature monitoring systems preferred. – Schedule includes a full-time 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm at a regional warehouse setting. – Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and perform moderate lifting and material handling tasks as needed.Take the next step in your pharmacy technician career by supporting vital public health services in a dynamic, community-focused environment.
