The ideal candidate will be a strategic and innovative leader with a strong commitment to the liberal arts and sciences and public higher education. Responsibilities for the Dean include providing leadership for the School, working with faculty and staff to achieve the School's and the University's goals, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional education that prepares students for professional success. The successful candidate will be expected to have a terminal degree in one of the school disciplines, significant academic and administrative experience, and a proven track record in program administration, management, and external accreditation processes. The role also requires the ability to secure external grants, manage financial resources, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. The Dean will be an integral part of the University's Deans' Council, and as such, must be a confident leader with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. The School of Business and Professional Studies at the company is dedicated to providing high-impact learning experiences, and the Dean will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing this focus. The School offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including those in accounting, business administration, communication disorders, economics, exercise science, nursing, and psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the academic and administrative leadership of the School, including the management of a large faculty and student body, and will be expected to support the institution's mission of preparing students for professional and civic engagement.
