Family Partners of Minnesota is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Kasson, MN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. - Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support individuals in community integration, social activities, and recreational outings
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Promote client independence, dignity, and self-advocacy in all interactions
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Minnesota DHS
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to complete required DSP training and certifications
- Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care
