Location: Anchorage, AK

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: M-F, hours are 8-6, usually shift is 5 8's or 4 10's

No on call/No weekends

Medical Setting: Outpatient (Pediatric)

Job Description:

We are looking for a pediatric occupational therapist, who specializes in helping children develop the skills necessary to perform daily tasks and participate in activities that are important to them. You will be working with the children who have developmental, physical or emotional challenges that affect their ability to perform tasks such as dressing, eating, playing and learning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• You will be working with children with disabilities, such as those with autism spectrum disorder or cerebral palsy, to improve their functional abilities and quality of life.
• Assess a child's physical, cognitive and emotional abilities and limitations to determine their therapy needs and goals.
• Conducts one-on-one therapy sessions to children using a variety of techniques depending on the child's specific needs. These therapy sessions might also involve the use of assistive technology, such as splints or adaptive equipment, that can help a child reach their functional or developmental goals.
• You will be working with other healthcare providers, including physicians, speech therapists and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care for children.
• Monitors a child's progress throughout therapy to ensure they are meeting their goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher degree
• A licensed (or license-eligible) Occupational Therapist in the state AK
• A genuine love for pediatric therapy and a strong desire to make therapy effective, engaging, and family-friendly.
• Minimum 1 Year of experience is required
