Position Summary Gastroenterologist‑Advanced Endoscopist – part‑time board eligible/certified advanced endoscopist – at the Margaret Cochran Corbin Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Manhattan VA), New York, NY. The role is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and offers competitive salary, annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities Provide consultative and endoscopic services in inpatient and outpatient settings. Teach fellows in an academic environment and may receive an academic appointment at NYU Langone Medical School. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy; advanced ERCP, EUS, and other advanced therapeutic procedures (including rendezvous EUS‑ERCP, endoscopic papillectomy, necrosectomy, POEM, suturing, dilations, radiofrequency ablation). Grow referrals for advanced endoscopic procedures from other VA hospitals. Coordinate with other health‑service personnel, resolve patient‑care issues, and provide education to patients and families. Participate in clinical research, education, and other academic activities as needed. Work Schedule Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m.–4:30p.m. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary with annual performance bonus and regular salary increases. Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a VA‑approved institution; current, full, unrestricted state license. Residency in an accredited core specialty training program leading to board certification in gastroenterology. Board‑eligible or board‑certified in gastroenterology. Completed fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy or proven proficiency in advanced therapeutic procedures (ERCP, EUS, POEM, etc.). 2–3years of experience as an advanced endoscopist performing ERCP, EUS, and other advanced procedures. Clinical research experience and interest preferred; experience teaching in an academic setting preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Subject to background/security investigation and pre‑employment physical. Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program; willing to complete on‑boarding and probationary period if required.
