Operations Manager

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Operations Manager for a well-established manufacturing and construction services organization. This is a full-time onsite opportunity based in Portland, Oregon.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Operations Manager will provide leadership across production, fabrication, and field operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role serves as a key operational leader, partnering with department managers to optimize workflows, improve processes, and support workforce planning. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related operational environment and enjoys building high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and support department managers across production, fabrication, and field operations to ensure efficient day-to-day performance
• Drive process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational effectiveness
• Partner with project and operational leaders to coordinate scheduling, workforce planning, and resource allocation
• Monitor operational performance, budgets, and key metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement
• Promote and enforce safety standards and best practices across shop and field environments
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to support organizational growth and operational excellence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience leading operations within manufacturing, construction, fabrication, industrial services, or a related environment
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and department leaders
• Strong understanding of production workflows, workforce management, and process improvement initiatives
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, resource planning, and operational reporting
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


This position offers a competitive salary of $80,000-$120,000 annually, along with medical, dental, and life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and additional employee support programs.
