Job Description

Legal Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Legal Chief Operating Officer to join our team in Chicago with pay around 225K. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the legal operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law and business operations, with proven leadership skills and the ability to drive organizational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement legal strategies and initiatives to support the overall business objectives
  • Manage legal processes, including contracts, litigation, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with other senior executives to drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Oversee the legal team and provide guidance and mentorship
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Proven experience in a legal leadership role within a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of business operations and strategy
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving common goals
  • High ethical standards and integrity
