Tech Lead Developer (Node.JS)

We are seeking a Tech Lead Developer with strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise for a contract position based in Dallas, Texas. This is a 6+ month engagement where you will provide technical leadership while remaining actively hands‑on, driving modern architecture decisions and mentoring team members across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and frontend integration. Responsibilities Design and build scalable APIs and backend services using TypeScript and Node.js Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services including Lambda, ECS, and S3 Lead technical decisions with a focus on resilient systems, API-first design, and security best practices Work across backend services (approximately 60–70% of effort) and frontend/UI concerns (approximately 30–40%) Provide hands‑on technical leadership, code review, and mentorship to team members Collaborate on React-based UI enhancements and frontend integration work Navigate evolving requirements and high-ambiguity environments with a solution-oriented mindset Qualifications Required Expert‑level proficiency in TypeScript across the full software stack Deep experience building APIs and services with TypeScript and Node.js Working experience with React for UI enhancements and integration Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and S3 Practical experience with DynamoDB Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns, including JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) and OAuth Proven ability to provide technical leadership while remaining actively hands‑on Strong background in cloud‑native and API‑first design principles Preferred Support‑level proficiency with Java and/or Angular Experience with GraphQL as a consumer or producer of a sub‑graph Experience with cross‑language migrations (e.g., Java to TypeScript/Node.js or vice versa) Experience with additional NoSQL or SQL databases Experience with Kong, Lambda Authorizers, and/or AWS Glue Experience with security and monitoring tools Experience with GitHub Actions #J-18808-Ljbffr Intone Inc
