Job Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. Licensure, Certifications, Registration Registered Nurse license by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) required: certification AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking. Ability to climb stairs, work indoors and outdoors, work from elevated areas, confined spaces, kneeling positions. Ability to bend, twist at waist, squat, perform pinching operations, gross motor activities with fingers and hands, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reach overhead, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders. Ability to use lower extremities for balance and coordination, lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted, lift/lower objects 50 lbs from floor, lift to overhead 25 lbs, exert up to 50 lbs of force. Ability to maintain vision, hearing, etc. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime as required, latex safe environment, maintain tactile sensory functions, good olfactory sensory function (selected positions), respirator use qualification (selected positions).
