Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Shift/Hours: Nights, 7pm - 7am, weekdays; every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our Level 2 Labor and Delivery unit. This unit specializes in delivering patients who are 32 weeks and above. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills in triaging patients, circulating cesarean sections, and managing the labor and delivery process in collaboration with physicians and midwives.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients presenting for labor and delivery.
Circulate during cesarean sections and provide support to surgical teams.
Manage labor and delivery for patients, working collaboratively with healthcare providers.
Complete patient recovery processes following vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.

Certifications Required

Registered Nurse (RN)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Location

Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility.
