Aircraft PainterThe Aircraft Painter will work in the paint hangar/spray booth, focusing on painting the UH-60s body and components. This includes tasks such as cleaning, sanding, masking, applying primers, and spraying.Responsibilities:Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.Apply primers and sealants to ensure proper adhesion of paint.Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure they are properly prepared.Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.Essential Skills:Experience with painting in a professional environment in aviation or autobody.4+ years experience in direct application of painting high gloss surfaces with prep for "show car" finish.Advanced to expert knowledge in spray gun usage and adjustments of paint mixtures.Advanced to expert knowledge of equipment setup for paint application booth settings.Advanced to expert knowledge of stencil application on post-paint surfaces.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Ability to train individuals on proper application of paints to various surfaces.Experience working at Sikorsky is highly valued.Why Work Here?Join a great work environment within a rapidly growing company that offers future opportunities for advancement.Work Environment:Work in a state-of-the-art aircraft paint facility that accommodates military, commercial, and civilian aircraft and utility vehicles. The 9,600 sq. ft. facility has capacity for Fixed-Wing aircraft up to 58 ft wingspan (BE-350 and below) and Rotary-Wing aircraft up to CH-47.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Guntersville, AL.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
