Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Contract NP/PA – Same Day Clinic | Washington

We are seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a contract opportunity with a mission-driven tribal/community health clinic in Washington.

This provider will support a same-day outpatient clinic caring for patients across all age groups in a collaborative and community-focused environment. The role includes treating acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, wound care, and routine outpatient concerns while working alongside a supportive care team.

Position Details

• Contract assignment
• Monday–Friday schedule
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No regular call
• Start date after the 4th of July
• Preferred commitment: 3–6 months
• Average patient volume: 9–10 patients per half day
• Free housing and travel provided if needed

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat same-day and walk-in patients
• Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Perform minor outpatient procedures and wound care
• Conduct patient assessments, triage, counseling, and medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Document care within the EMR system
• Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations

Requirements

• Board Certified NP or PA
• Active Washington license or ability to obtain through expedited pathway
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience in urgent care, same-day clinic, walk-in clinic, outpatient family medicine, or prompt care
• Comfortable with suturing, wound care, triage, and acute illness management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with EHR systems required; Epic experience preferred
